Introduction
Alight Motion is a video editing app that lets you create beautiful and engaging Instagram reels. This article will show you how to use Alight Motion to edit your videos for Instagram trending reels.
Edit your video
Alight Motion allows you to edit your video in several ways. You can import the original file, add text or music to the video, and then export it for use on social media.
The first step is importing the original video file into Alight Motion. In this example I’ll be using a YouTube video that I’ve already uploaded into my Photos app on my phone (if you don’t have one yet, download this).
After opening up Alight Motion and choosing “Import Video” from its menu bar at top left corner of screen:
Export your video
Once you’re done editing your video, it’s time to export it. You can do this by going to the File menu and selecting Export Video (make sure you have an account set up). From there, select the destination for where you want to save your finished video. For example:
If exporting in 1080p or 720p (these are 1920×1080 pixels per frame), select MP4 as the format and create a new file named “Video Name”.
If exporting in 4K (3840×2160 pixels per frame), choose MOV as the format and name it “Video Name”.
Upload your video
After you’ve created a video, it’s time to upload it. You can do this from within the Alight app or by using the desktop app. Make sure that you have the right account selected and then select your video from the list of uploaded clips and select “Create Story.”
When creating a story on Instagram, there are three options:
Choose an existing photo of yours (called “Live”) with text overlaid on top of it
Use one of your own photos (called “Photo)” with text overlaid on top of them
Use one of your own videos as background footage for an image or photo

Import your video. To import a video, follow the steps below:
Click on the “Import” button in the upper right corner of your screen and choose “Files” from the drop-down menu.
Select a file that you want to use as part of your story (or just click New Project). You can change it later if needed so don’t worry about having to clean up any mistakes at this point!
Click Next > Enter Keywords or Tags and click Next > Continue when prompted by Alight Motion software if you have additional tags added manually through other platforms like YouTube or Facebook Live before uploading them here because they will be synced up automatically during export/upload process later (this step is optional). 4 . If there are no issues with formatting then hit Save & Close after finishing all 4 steps above successfully!
